Written Whispers is a game about a letter from a soldier that never reached its intended destination, and whose only purpose is to recover its lost pages in order to feel complete and finally send itself.
As the player, you take on the role of the letter, exploring the world around you. Along the journey, you will unlock origami abilities, allowing you to transform into a paper plane or a boat, granting you entirely new ways to move through and interact with the environment.
How it was made:
This is a university project completed in five weeks by a team of four. All aspects of the code,        design, music, sound effects, and character models were developed by our team. I was responsible for creating the 3D model of the main character, along with its textures and animations. I also contributed by developing sound effects, programming various interactions, and implementing key gameplay features such as the origami ability, in-game items, and cutscenes for the level.
As a designer, I played a central role in developing the player's main mechanics, designing the beat chart, and defining the flow of the level. I also contributed to some of the audio interactions. Additionally, I created all the sound effects for the level using foley techniques and assisted in the composition of some of the music. While we primarily created original assets, we did make use of paid Unity asset bundles and a few free models from SketchFab that did not require licensing.
